I practice from a trauma-informed and anti-oppression lens that aims to be mindful of the historical, cultural, and social factors that influence health and well-being. I utilize a variety of evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs to help calm the chatter of the mind and tune into the wisdom of the body. I ground myself in empathy, curiosity, acceptance, and whole-hearted listening and I feel that it is an honor to bear witness to others’ stories.
I have experience working with children, teens, and parents in school-based, outpatient, and residential treatment settings. I have extensive experience working in medical settings with adults and children with chronic medical conditions and extensive trauma histories. I have completed the EMDR basic training through the EMDR Institute, several advanced Motivational Interviewing courses, DBT and CBT coursework, and many trainings in Internal Family Systems. I am also a certified perinatal mental health professional and can support families through the prenatal, pregnancy and postpartum periods.
