I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Board Certified Art Therapist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional–Level II, and Doctor of Social Work. Trained in EMDR, I specialize in trauma recovery and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in adults. My integrative, evidence-based approach draws from interventions targeting trauma with an outcome of post-traumatic growth. I incorporate somatic awareness, mindfulness, and trauma-informed principles to foster healing and reconnection, and also provide creative arts therapy. I collaborate closely with clients to develop individualized goals that maximize the effectiveness of therapy. I have extensive experience as a crisis worker in inpatient settings and have worked nationally and internationally since 2011.
I earned my M.A. in Art Therapy from New York University, my M.S.W. and D.S.W. from the University of Southern California, and completed leadership training at Cornell University’s Women in Leadership program. My practice is based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and currently offers virtual, self-pay sessions for adults seeking compassionate, depth-oriented trauma therapy.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Board Certified Art Therapist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional–Level II, and Doctor of Social Work with extensive trauma training and over a decade of experience. I am trained in EMDR and integrate evidence-based and emerging modalities including somatic awareness, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral interventions, and creative arts therapy when applicable. My work focuses on trauma recovery, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and post-traumatic growth.
I have provided trauma-informed care to diverse populations across multiple states and countries. In New York, I worked in Manhattan with differently abled clients, at the Bronx Psychiatric Center on forensic and women’s units, and with homeless populations. In Denver, I worked with refugees; in Virginia, with women impacted by intimate partner violence and substance use, often navigating complex legal systems; and in California, in school-based programs serving Latinx populations. In Salt Lake City, I have served in inpatient and outpatient settings, including work with individuals experiencing serious and chronic mental illness, military populations, and at the Neuropsychiatric Institute with children, adolescents, and adults.
Internationally, I have provided expressive arts therapy in Brazil to children and adults and offered medical and mental health treatment to individuals with leprosy in India. I have also volunteered with the YWCA supporting women and children. My professional experience includes group and private practice settings providing EMDR and trauma therapy for specialized populations, including those with chronic PTSD, chronic medical conditions, life transitions, military personnel, and LGBTQIA+ clients. I have also been published through the University of Southern California on children and teenager mental health concerns.
