Provider Services and Experience

Most of my clients are trauma survivors, and I receive referrals from many therapists and coaches all over the US.   Treatments are a mix of techniques that best benefits that particular patient.   These include Neuro Emotional Technique, Advanced Applied Kinesiology, Meridian Tapping, and much more!   But most people refer to me because my easy going personality and previous trauma experience allows me to provide a safe, calm, and nurturing healing space for my patients.   And I “play well” with other practitioners – I love helping my clients find the tools that best help their healing journey.  This often includes a team of practitioners and tools to use at home and during their work day, as well as supplementation of nutritional products to help calm the body and mind while promoting the healing process.   Due to the trauma history of each  individual, how we work together may vary.   The patient is always in charge of their own body in my treatment room.   With their permission, we make choices together about what to heal, how fast, and with which modalities.   I’m here for the patient, at the pace they are ready to take with me.

"Trauma Informed" training and experience

First is my own trauma experience. I’ve gone through years of therapy with various modalities (somatic, talk, group, NeuroEmotional Technique, chiropractic, energy work, CST, rolfing, Aston patterning, etc etc – so much more!), and this is helpful for finding my patients the team that best fits their goal. It’s also given me immence compassion, patience, and understanding that everyone is where they are in their healing journey. We are all healing, at our pace and for our own reasons. Often times, I work on patients standing, seated, or walking because laying on a table may trigger a previous event. I also stop immediately if their body shows signs that the nervous system is processing or overloaded by the work. Small steps are always safer than too much. The body knows best, and it will always heal when it is ready and has the tools to do so. I am available to assist with providing the tools, space, and encouragement along the way. Of course, I’ve also had trauma informed training through the state, as well as in continuing education courses, and through both the Advanced Applied Kinesiology certification courses and the Neuro Emotional Technique certification courses.

"Trauma Trained" training and experience

The results with Neuro Emotional Technique for resolving patterns in function MRIs of patients with PTSD has been published in various (I think 12 total?) peer reviewed journals over the last 5 or so years. But even before I learned about NET, I offered a four visit guarantee because I knew that patients who benefit from my collection of techniques see these benefits within four visits or less – not resolve, but significant improvements. The fun part was when I learned about the research on Neuro Emotional Techniques, and I found out that the average number of appointments for the change in the fMRI related to PTSD was 4.3 , on average! This also supports my clinical experience witnessing that there are many ways to reach the desired goal – I believe it’s best to help your patient find the ones that fit them. (Which sometime means a referral out for a better practitioner match or another technique.)
