Provider Services and Experience
We all need support at times to care for our internal and external worlds, and to dive into the depths of our often layered lived experiences. To care for ourselves in this way, we may need to pull up the weeds of adversities or traumas at a pace that feels right. I hope to offer a warm and compassionate atmosphere for you as you gently tend to the past while remaining rooted in the present. Through attention and intention in therapy, I believe that flowers of wisdom, curiosity, self-compassion, resilience, and hope can grow.

I work from humanistic and person-centered perspectives, and my approach to therapy is mindfulness informed with a focus on the mind-body connection for healing. The common research supported therapeutic modalities I utilize are: EMDR, IFS, ACT, MBCT, MI, Positive Psychology, and other mindfulness and somatic based interventions.
I individualize therapy to meet each person’s unique needs while always honoring the fact that they are the expert on themselves. I deeply admire people who have the courage to turn towards their vulnerable parts and to embark on a journey of personal growth and self rediscovery. I would be honored to partner with you on your healing journey in therapy.

"Trauma Informed" training and experience

I had an internship at the University of Utah College Counseling Center where I led a trauma informed interpersonal process group for adult survivors of sexual trauma. I also worked at the University of Utah Hospital as an inpatient medical social worker where I provided trauma informed social work services to patients and their families during their inpatient stay. I have worked for Healing Pathways Therapy Center which is a trauma informed and attachment based outpatient therapy center. I have also worked for Utah Health and Human Rights as a social worker and therapist and provided trauma informed therapy to refugees and asylum seekers who survived war trauma and human rights abuses. I am currently in private practice where I specialize in the treatment of trauma.
